PRINTED POSTER PREPARATION GUIDELINES
The maximum size of the poster should be 70 cm x 90 cm and it should be readable from a distance of at least 2 meters.
Text: The poster text must be easily readable from a distance of 1–2 meters. The recommended font sizes for the text are generally as specified below.
Main Title of the Abstract: 54 pt (bold and uppercase). The entire title must be written in capital letters.
Author Name(s): 42 pt (bold, uppercase and lowercase letters). Academic titles should not be included. The surname must be written in uppercase letters. The name of the presenting author should be underlined. The email addresses of all authors should be written in smaller font size directly below their names.
Affiliation Information: 36 pt (regular, uppercase and lowercase letters). The institutions represented by the authors should be indicated with superscript numbers corresponding to the author names. Institutional affiliations should be listed below the author names.
Section Headings: 36 pt (bold and uppercase).
Body Text: 32 pt (regular).
References: 18 pt (regular).
Color: For visual comfort, neutral or gray tones should be used for the poster background, and darker tones should be preferred for the text
Posters should be hung on the boards determined by the organizing committee, with the print number provided to you in this letter, on the first day of the congress.
Poster owners will remove their posters at the end of the given time. The responsibility for posters not removed on time rests with the owners.
FULL-TEXT MANUSCRIPT GUIDELINES
All content must be written in English.
Full-text manuscripts must be prepared in MS Word format (.docx), on A4 size paper (21 cm x 29.7 cm), in portrait orientation, with 2.5 cm margins on all sides.
The manuscript must be written in 12-point Times New Roman font, single-spaced, with one line space between paragraphs.
For oral presentations whose full texts are submitted later, the title of the manuscript should be written first. Below the title, the authors’ full names (first letters capitalized, without academic titles) and their institutional affiliations must be indicated.
The manuscript should include the following section headings:
- Abstract (must comply with the previously specified abstract format)
- Keywords (minimum 3, maximum 5)
- Introduction
- Methods
- Results
- Discussion
- Conclusion and Recommendations
- References
The main text (Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion and Recommendations) must contain a minimum of 1,500 and a maximum of 2,500 words, excluding the abstract.
The manuscript may include a maximum of 2 tables or figures and up to 10 references. Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively within the text.
First-level section headings must be written in uppercase and bold. Second-level and subsequent subheadings must be written in bold, with the first letter of each word capitalized.
References must be cited in the text in the order of appearance, using superscript numbers.
For references with six or fewer authors, all authors must be listed. For references with seven or more authors, only the first three authors should be listed, followed by “et al.”
Journal names must be abbreviated according to Index Medicus.
Manuscripts under review cannot be cited as references; however, they may be mentioned within the text.
Personal communications may be cited provided that the name of the source, date, and method of communication (including email address, if applicable) are clearly stated.
References must be formatted in accordance with the guidelines defined by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).
For English keywords, Index Medicus Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) must be used.
Guidelines for Submission
- The papers presented at the congress will be published in full text by the Akademisyen Yayınevi (International Scopus index).
- The abstracts shall be submitted only via the online abstract system.
- Names of the authors should not include their academic titles.
- The names should be written with only the first letter in capital and the rest in small letters and without abbreviation.
- Name and address of the institution, in which the author is employed, should be stated.
- Only the first letter of the abstract title should be in capital letters. (Abbreviations excluded.)
- In case abbreviation is used in the abstract, the abbreviation should be explained in parenthesis.
- The purpose of the paper and the methods applied should be explained in brief, the findings should be summarized together with sufficient details and the conclusion should be stated within the framework of the findings presented.
- The abstract length should not exceed 300 words excluding the abstract title, name and surname of the author.

- The explanations at the page after the registration procedure will guide you. Please read the messages and explanations carefully.
- The abstracts submitted via internet shall be published without any corrections; therefore the authors should be careful about spelling mistakes.
- Please keep the confirmation mail sent to your e-mail address following the abstract submission.
- You can track the evaluation process of your abstract over the system by using your e-mail and password.

Abstract Evaluation
Each submitted paper will be independently evaluated by two different evaluation committee members and it will be decided whether they are accepted or not. Evaluations will be made by keeping the names, surnames and institutions of the researchers confidential.
